Our platform helps you publish a book and sell it around the world. Get started creating your book and ebook with Lulu. Start Your Book. Print Books. Make the book you want with a wide range of options, including paperback, hardcover, full color, black & white, and more!   How to write a book that sells: a literary agent on how to find and research a book idea that can sell. In my house, I have one big white bookshelf where I keep all the books I’ve ever worked on, either as a literary agent or an editor.

Hi @daphnesmate01 Like Zilla I haven't seen any sales data by month either. Certainly in my genre (romance) there is a well known thing called the 'summer slump' which is believed to impact sales because the kids are home from school and people are busier with families (in comparison to winter when you can totally imagine people spending the weekend curled on the sofa with a blanket and a book).   Writing a book happens in three phases: Beginning (you have to actually start), staying motivated (conquer self-doubt and overwhelm) and finishing (avoid languishing in the “almost finished” phase). Have a set time (ideally daily) and place to work on your book. Write some each day and it quickly adds up. Set a total word count for your book.

Since releasing my book I’ve sold over 2 thousand copies (and rising) in 1 year on my own. All while still building a startup and working at a venture capital firm full time. I’m going to give you a step-by-step of what I did to write, publish, and market my book. Was it perfect? No. Write and edit the book. Design a cover. Get your friends, family, and whatever followers you have to write a review and then publish. Wash, rinse, repeat! Once you have your name out there for one good book, it becomes easier to sell another. And another. And another. Resources: Books: On Writing Well by William Zinsser; Bird by Bird by Anne.

It’s purpose is to sell. Read my best advice for writing a book description here. Design a cover that grabs attention and looks professional. Written by experts with twenty-five books between them as well as many years’ experience as a literary agent (Eckstut) and a book doctor (Sterry), this nuts-and-bolts guide demystifies every step of the publishing process: how to come up with a blockbuster title, create a selling proposal, find the right agent, understand a book contract, and /5().

One great strategy is to sell your book for a dollar or less. That way, you can drastically increase the number of purchases and book reviews on sites like Amazon, enabling you to shoot up the bestseller list within your specific ebook genre, while also increasing your potential for word-of-mouth marketing.

Create an Eye-Catching Landing Page. “With Write It, Print It, Sell It. you will finally get the book inside you OUT!” Matthew Bennett has written, printed and sold over 5, books while raising millions of dollars for charities.

His groundbreaking step-by-step system is guaranteed to provide you with EVERYTHING you need to write, print and sell the book of your dreams. A Message From Matthew. Most New Authors Sell Fewer Than Books.

First of all, writing the book is way harder than you thought it would be. Outlining, drafting, revising, editing, editing again, getting someone else to edit it for you (painful!) and finally, submitting your manuscript to a few carefully selected small publishing houses.

You still need to write an original book. Don’t you dare do anything else. But you need to incorporate some of the elements that make books in that genre sell. This goes for plot, voice, and story elements, but also for your cover and book description. Emulate the successful authors of your genre.

Just don’t copy their stories. Traffic to your blog: The nice thing about writing an ebook and selling it on Amazon is that now people who have no idea who you are will find you while shopping on Amazon.

And if you’ve written a great book and linked back to your site from the book, you should start to see a steady flow of new readers to your blog from your Amazon listing. Sell Your E-books on Your Blog.

You can sell your e-books directly on your own blog, keeping % profits as you do not share the earnings with anyone. Keep in mind your blog must generate a lot of traffic to make a decent income from selling e-books. If you want to sell your e-books on your blog, write books about the topics you blog about.

You shouldn’t be writing in a genre unless you enjoy it. Watch what is selling, who the authors are, and read those books. And keep trying.” Step 3: Write for yourself. Step three sounds as if it contradicts the advice in step two, but it really doesn’t. Writing for the market and writing. How to Write Your First eBook.

The Essential Guide to Getting Your Book Published (Paperback) How to Write It, Sell It, and Market It Successfully. By Arielle Eckstut, David Henry Sterry.

Workman Publishing Company,pp. Publication Date: November 4, It’s my approach to the process of writing a great book that will sell. And if you’ve been struggling to write or even finish your book, then it may be time for a new approach. Over 80% of people want to write a book someday, but without a plan, most never will.

In this course, not only will you learn the steps it takes to write a great book. If you write your book with the goal of selling a million copies, you’ll try to write a book that’s for everyone. Which is the WORST thing you could do.

The BEST strategy for a book, the one that led to all those success stories I told you about, is to reach a niche audience. That’s the key to raising your authority and credibility. Writing a book is not easy.

Taking all of the steps needed to get a book into print is not easy. But these activities are not nearly as difficult as selling a book.

Before you spend your time and effort writing a book, you need to be sure that it can be sold economically and. Chances are, you won’t write just one ebook.

You might write several in the same series, or you might create a short starter ebook for free, and then write a more advanced one to sell. Even if your ebook is destined to be your subscriber incentive, if you give your readers everything they’ll ever need, why would they come back to your blog.

The best part of all these principles is that they work regardless of whether your books are self-published or traditionally published.

No matter how you choose to publish your books, you can magnify your reach (and sell more books!) using the steps above. So go and share your writing.

At a time when you could not fake your book onto a best selling book. Many a budding author dreams of writing the book, the one that turns into a bestseller. It's the book that gets you known and paid well. Not having written a bestseller yet doesn't necessarily show a lack of talent because there are tricks to making bestsellers, and it's not always stuff that sits well with the pure artist, like being trendy and being able to let go and let the editors have Views: K.

To write a book that sells, to build an audience around it, and to successfully sell to that audience requires wisdom and community and strategy. Only when you have the foundation, built with grit and hard work (not a pile of cash that could be spent elsewhere), can you launch a successful writing career and see your books sell like crazy.
